The Area

Marhaba Club is a mega-sized Moorish-style resort on the silky sands of Sousse Beach. It’s nestled among palms and blooms and feels nicely tucked away, but you’re just a 10-minute drive from the lively resort centre when you want to get out and explore the shops, bars and timewarp medina. Port El Kantaoui, a pretty harbourfront town, is the same distance in the other direction.

The Hotel

You’ll find the hotel’s star turn – a lagoon-like swimming pool – just footsteps from the beach and surrounded by landscaped grounds. It’s huge, and comes with a swim-up bar and a couple of bubbly whirlpool corners. Kids have their own dedicated pool section with slides and sprinklers – perfect for cooling off in the warm temperatures. Chill out under one of the neighbouring parasols, or head into the gardens to practice your serve on the tennis courts. Other activities include archery and aerobics, and there’s a great selection of watersports to try down by the seafront.
