Hayley’s Florida Educational – Universal Orlando & Royal Caribbean with Vista

There’s nothing better than experiencing a destination first-hand, and recently our very own Hayley returned from an incredible educational trip to Florida hosted by our trusted supplier partner, Vista. From world-famous theme parks to luxury resorts and an unforgettable Royal Caribbean cruise, this trip had it all — and now Hayley is more excited than ever to help our customers plan their dream Florida holiday!

Day 1 – Flying to Orlando & First Impressions of Universal

Hayley’s adventure began with a flight to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic, and she was thoroughly impressed from the moment she boarded. With a fantastic variety of onboard entertainment, delicious food throughout the flight, and even ice cream served as a sweet treat, the journey flew by in comfort and style.

After arriving in Orlando, the group checked into Universal’s Aventura Hotel — and Hayley was instantly stunned. With its sleek, modern design, incredible views, and relaxed atmosphere, the hotel made a fantastic first impression and is ideal for couples, families with older children, and anyone wanting a stylish stay close to the parks.

Before dinner, Hayley explored Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, one of Universal Orlando’s beautifully themed Caribbean-inspired resorts. Surrounded by tropical landscaping, waterfalls, and a stunning lagoon, the hotel offers a relaxing island feel while still being moments away from the action of the parks. Hayley especially loved the laid-back atmosphere and the resort’s luxurious yet welcoming vibe.

Dinner that evening was at the resort’s famous Strong Water Tavern — and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Known for its impressive wall of vintage rums and expert “Rum Specialists,” the restaurant offers a unique dining experience overlooking the lagoon. The menu features delicious tapas-style dishes, fresh ceviche, flatbreads, seafood, steaks, and Latin-inspired flavours, all served in a stylish setting with outdoor patio seating. Hayley described the food as absolutely delicious and said it’s somewhere she would highly recommend to anyone visiting Universal Orlando.

Day 2 – VIP Universal Orlando Experience

Day two began with breakfast at The Kitchen inside Hard Rock Hotel Orlando, followed by a hotel inspection. Hayley loved the fun rock-and-roll atmosphere throughout the resort, from the music-themed décor to the lively pool area. The hotel has a fantastic energetic feel while still offering luxury and comfort, and its unbeatable location — just a short walk to the parks — makes it a brilliant option for guests wanting convenience and exclusive Universal benefits.

The excitement continued with an unforgettable VIP tour of both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. From thrilling rollercoasters and immersive worlds to behind-the-scenes experiences and front-of-line access, Hayley was able to experience some of Universal’s best attractions in true VIP style.

The day ended at Universal CityWalk Orlando Universal’s vibrant dining, shopping, and entertainment district. Packed with restaurants, bars, live entertainment, and buzzing nightlife, CityWalk is the perfect place to continue the fun after a day in the parks.

Dinner was at Vivo Italian Kitchen, where the group enjoyed authentic Italian cuisine in a stylish and modern setting. Fresh pasta, wood-fired flavours, and indulgent desserts made for the perfect end to an amazing day.

Day 3 – Cabana Bay & Volcano Bay Relaxation

The morning started with breakfast at Urban Pantry, where guests can choose from a huge variety of options including pastries, pancakes, fresh fruit, breakfast sandwiches, hot cooked breakfasts, coffee, and grab-and-go snacks — perfect for busy park days. And highly recommended for anyone staying onsite!

Next up was a hotel inspection at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Hayley absolutely loved the retro 1950s and 60s theme throughout the resort, giving it a fun and nostalgic feel. Cabana Bay is a fantastic option for families thanks to its spacious family suites, huge pools, lazy river, bowling alley, and relaxed atmosphere. One of the biggest perks? Guests can actually walk straight to Universal Volcano Bay from the hotel!

The afternoon was spent enjoying Volcano Bay itself — Universal’s tropical-themed waterpark packed with thrilling slides, relaxing rivers, wave pools, and the iconic Krakatau volcano at its centre. Whether you’re looking for adrenaline-pumping water rides or a chilled day soaking up the Florida sunshine, Volcano Bay really does have something for everyone.

That evening the group toured Loews Royal Pacific Resort before enjoying dinner at Islands Dining Room. Inspired by the South Pacific, the resort offers lush tropical surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere, while the restaurant served beautiful Pan-Asian cuisine full of fresh flavours and delicious dishes.

Day 4 – Epic Universe!

Day four started with a tour of Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal’s exciting new resort inspired by the beauty of the cosmos. With modern rooms, sleek design, and convenient access to the parks, the hotel offers a fresh and contemporary option for guests wanting to stay in the heart of the action.

Then came one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip — a VIP tour of Universal’s brand-new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

Walking through the portals and stepping into five incredible worlds truly felt like entering another universe. With immersive lands inspired by beloved stories, cutting-edge attractions, breathtaking theming, and incredible entertainment, Epic Universe is set to completely transform holidays to Orlando. Hayley spent the rest of the day exploring the park and described it as absolutely mind-blowing.

Day 5 – Time to Cruise!

Before heading to the port, the group toured Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites. Hayley found this resort to be an excellent value option for families and groups, offering spacious suites, relaxed coastal styling, and fantastic affordability while still enjoying Universal benefits.

Then it was time for the second part of the trip — boarding Royal Caribbean Utopia of the Seas!

The holiday vibes instantly kicked in as the group enjoyed the sail away party in style before heading to the main dining room for a fantastic dinner with exceptional service. Hayley was blown away by the variety onboard and spent the evening exploring the ship, enjoying live music, incredible theatre productions, bars, entertainment venues, and the buzzing atmosphere throughout.

Day 6 – Royal Caribbean’s Private Island Paradise

The next day was spent exploring Royal Caribbean’s exclusive island experience. From beautiful beaches and pools to watersports, cabanas, dining, and island entertainment, there was so much on offer. After enjoying a guided tour, Hayley spent time soaking up the sunshine and exploring the island at her own pace.

Day 7 – Swimming with Pigs at Perfect Day at CocoCay!

Without a doubt, this was Hayley’s favourite day of the trip!

The ship docked at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s incredible private island in the Bahamas — and yes, Hayley got to tick “swimming with pigs” off her bucket list!

Perfect Day at CocoCay offers something for absolutely everyone, from stunning beaches and swim-up bars to the huge Thrill Waterpark featuring towering waterslides, wave pools, splash zones, and even the tallest waterslide in North America. Guests can relax in luxurious beach clubs, enjoy zip lines and water activities, or simply soak up the Caribbean sunshine.

The perfect day ended with an equally perfect dinner at Chops Grille, where the group enjoyed incredible steakhouse dining and a fantastic atmosphere onboard.

Final Day – Shopping Time!

Before heading home, there was still time for one final Orlando tradition — shopping!

The group headed to Target and the Orlando outlets for some last-minute bargains and souvenirs; and we hear, the outlets are just as important as the parks when visiting Orlando!

From designer bargains to American snacks and everything in between, Orlando shopping definitely lived up to the hype.
